Despite being mauled to death by a hellhound Jo went straight into Heaven alongside her mother. Unlike her she never felt like she belonged here, like there was still a task for her to take care of, yet no unfinished business. So it was easy for her to find Ash and Pamela in his version of the Road House, where Ellen and her husband show up now and then. Needless to say that they are aware of the shift in Heaven as all the angels despite Metatron were expelled. And Jo knows that this is exactly what she has been waiting for.

It’s been thousands of years since Ramiel, who had been the captain of God’s personal guard, has touched Heaven. One can imagine his outrage to be forced down onto this place when he expected his duty to stay in heaven and wait for his father to return. If Castiel was odd, Ramiel certainly is odder when it comes to behavior. Ramiel is more than a soldier, because an angel of his rank gets as closest to an arch-angel as possible. He believes in the hierarchy God has formed and that it shouldn’t be altered: therefore all angels that are cherub and seraph belong in Heaven, just like the angels should guard Earth and not go on rampage. And this is why he sees it as his duty to bring things back to order. He hopes that the angel tablet will be helpful for his task.

The former hunter and surrogate father to the Winchester brothers finally entered Heaven and he tried to make peace with it. However with his experience it was hard on him to accept his own private Heaven, even though he was reunited with his wife. He wasn’t the same anymore and all the good memories he had were from before his life as a Hunter, just a few after his wife’s death. It doesn’t feel right. So it’s no surprise that he tried to leave and ended up running into Ash, Ellen, Jo and Pamela at the Road House, where he mostly spends his time. Needless to say that they are aware of the shift in Heaven as all the angels despite Metatron were expelled. And somehow Bobby knows that he has to do something.

In her existence Meg has been through a lot and the only constant in that was the choice of her name. As a human she had been a witch, a powerful one and already was able to live longer than any normal human would. In death she quickly became a demon. There are many mysteries about her. For instance she claimed Azazel - a demon and maybe fallen angel - to be her father, a hint that she had been fathered during a possession, which explained her power in life and later on in afterlife, being a protegee of both Azazel and Alistair. We have learned that it’s possible to cure a demon. However you can cure one not only through cleansed blood. Meeting Castiel has changed her in many ways: she regained a conscience and all the emotions that come along with it, which is essential for having a soul. When Crowley killed her, she therefore didn’t to cease to exist. He still has her necklace to which her soul is bound. Yet it is unclear where she will go if her anchor is destroyed.

With Crowley succumbing humanness Abbadon has taken over Hell and is quite pissed that the Winchesters have prevented the Apocalypse and even more put Michael along with Lucifer into the cage. In her opinion Crowley has taken part in this betrayal. With the angels now walking on Earth however she sees a threat to her plans with Earth and Hell so on one hand she wants to kill the Winchesters and Crowley while on the other hand she wants the angels back in Heaven - including Michael.

Metatron expelled all the angels from Heaven and forced Castiel to fall. Sam’s body slowly degenerated due to the demon trials and him stepping back from it, because of Dean begging him to do so.
Days have passed and the Winchester’s haven’t heard from their friend being in the Batcave along with Kevin who has started to translate the angel tablet, Jodie, who has come with them when they left with Crowley. Assuming the worst as in Castiel being dead eventually Sam and Dean get a call. Of all people Garth calls and tells them to come over.
It has been Becky who has run into Castiel who had been confusedly and helplessly wandering around and right into her. Superfan as she still is Becky instantly makes the right guess and the only number she still has is Garth’s.
So it happens that when the Winchester brothers turn up that they don’t only run into Charlie who had built up a Hunter-Network with Garth but also Becky and Cas.
This is when Dean got a call from Kevin who tells him something that get his hopes up.

There is a human tablet and also the angel tablet says that Metaton’s spell can be undone. Like literally undone.

This is when things turn tricky, because Crowley who has stayed with Kevin is trying to get into the boys brain again: he wants to become a demon as well, because being human sucks. And then there is someone repeatedly knocking at the cave’s door, asking to come in, which freaks out poor Kevin. Apparently the angel tablet is drawing attention and the angels are about to make trouble. Some are out for revenge, some are desperate, some turn mad. Time’s running out for the Winchesters to get the angels back into Heaven and most certainly for Sam.

The former king of Hell has a lot to take in. And not only the fact that he is neither King of Hell nor a demon. Human emotions and regret are chewing on him, as well as the fact that Jody Mills can boss him around, Kevin won’t help him become a demon again, and demons trying to kill him as badly as the angels who now stroll around on Earth. So it’s obvious that he wants to help the Winchesters for many reasons, even more as he learns about the Human tablet.

Former hunter rookie Garth has earned himself a name, taking over Bobby Singer’s position and duties as a hunter headquarter manager and got to know Charlie with whom he had build a network of hunters all around the globe.
When he learns about the angels being expelled from Heaven he doesn’t need nobody to tell him who is involved and who will be able to bring things back to normal, even though he soon makes an acquaintance that might complicate things. Also he still has a crush on Becky who has brought in Castiel.

Sam if broken beyond being fixed, but as Dean and him learn about the existence of a Human tabled he tries to act hopeful for the sake of his brother.
